In its mission to make the cinema a safe space in the middle of the Pandemic, Kalea Group participates in ‘The Interpreter’, the new film by Guy Ritchie and Jake Gyllenhaal.

The production company Nogal Film SL has once again trusted our consultant for its COVID protocol during the filming of the film directed by British filmmaker Guy Ritchie. Until now, Kalea Group has been a supplier of antigens for different productions of Nogal Film SL. With the recording of The Interpreter in Alicante and Zaragoza (Spain), Kalea Group has expanded its services, offering supply and validation of PCR tests.

Kalea Group offers supply and validation of PCR tests during the filming of the new Guy Ritchie production.

“We are delighted to continue providing quality services and high added value such as the personalization of the service, in addition to contributing to health security in a sector as sensitive as cinema, with what this means for filming times, actors, etc.”, comments Fran González, CEO of the consulting firm Kalea Group.

All this is possible thanks to the collaboration of Kalea Group with Materlab, CTS Alimentaria and Biomaro.

‘The Interpreter’, the latest from Guy Ritchie

‘The Interpreter’ is the new film directed by Guy Ritchie, director of such renowned films as ‘The Lock and The Stock’, ‘Snatch’ or ‘RocknRolla’. This time it has the American actor Jake Gyllenhaal in the leading role. Gyllenhaal was nominated for an Oscar for his role in ‘Brokeback Mountain‘, and has participated in films like ‘Zodiac’, ‘Nightcrawler’ or ‘Spider-Man: Far From Home’.  The cast is completed by Alexander Ludwig, Dar Salim, Antony Starr, Jason Wong, Bobby Schofield, Sean Sagar and Emily Beecham.

“We feel very fortunate to be able to participate in this international project where we also see a great projection opportunity for the province of Alicante and Zaragoza”, explains the CEO of Kalea Group.

In the film, Jake Gyllenhaal plays Sergeant John Kinley. On her final tour of duty in Afghanistan, Kinley surveys the region accompanied by local translator Ahmed, played by Danish actor Dar Salim. The two are the only survivors of an ambush in which Ahmed risks his life to carry a wounded Kinley to safety. Back in the US, the sergeant learns that the interpreter and his family were not transferred to the United States as promised, so he decides to return to the war zone to save them from local militias.

Without a doubt, a fast-paced story that will sweep the box office and that, thanks to Kalea Group, can be recorded respecting the COVID protocol and protecting all the workers involved in its filming.
