Historic debut for Bolong Zheng, the first Chinese player in the ACB. The Urbas Fuenlabrada player starred in a dream debut in ACB against Real Madrid at the Wizink Center.

The Chinese basketball player, trained in the Chinese (CUBA) and North American (NCAA) university leagues, played the last two minutes of the game. Zheng knew how to take advantage of his opportunity and gave him time to convert his only shot in the game: a 3-point shot that he and his teammates celebrated with joy, despite being behind on the scoreboard.

“It is an unforgettable moment for the rest of my life, without a doubt. I am very grateful to my teammates, the coaches and the club for helping me in my daily work, they make me feel like I am at home. This is the highest level high level of basketball in Europe and it’s time to continue working to continue learning from everyone”, explained the player to Marca.

China watches the acb

Bolong Zheng’s debut with Urbas Fuenlabrada, a club with which Kalea Group collaborates, generated great expectation in the Spanish media. But the greatest impact was in China, a country where the ACB can be seen through the online video platform Bilibili thanks to Kalea Sport & Entertainment. The video with the news of its debut in the CCTV5 app exceeded one and a half million views in a few hours.

The Kalea Group team was present at Bolong Zheng’s debut in the acb.

Bo Zheng’s arrival at the ACB will inspire Chinese boys and girls, the basketball players of the future, who already see the dream of playing in the second best league in the world after the NBA.

It should be remembered that basketball is the majority sport in China, and that ACB and Kalea Sport & Entertainment are working together for the future creation of basketball academies in China. Thanks to this collaboration, tomorrow many Chinese will follow in the footsteps of Bolong Zheng.
